Don't spam attack, time them so you swing, then decide whether to go for the next one or not. Spamming block / parry can be ok, but timing is better.

Love the streams, but the layout makes the gameplay area wayyyyy too small. So much wasted space on the screen

@MrDalisclock it is indeed. yesterday after another round of frustration with DS I started Sekiro and man, let me tell you it's a lot better. Haven't gotten into a "real" fight, but the small skirmishes feel so much better!

Its a different dynamic then DS. Its hard but for different reasons due to the posture system in Sekiro

If you can get someone to drop you embers, which is really easy to do, you can just play almost the entire game in co op.

@Hack The Planet I know, the question is time which seeing that I only play at weekends is not that much, and also I don't know if I really want to spend so much time in just a single game when I have a lot of other games that I want to play

Personally, Dark Souls is easier because you can have friends join you, you can emphasize magic which makes most encounters easier, and bosses have an extremely obvious tells for most of their attacks so you can chip away at them comfortably. You can also severely over level yourself and make the game laughably easy. Sekiro is a lot less forgiving (from my limited experience). There a heavier emphasis on timing (both in attacking and parrying) instead of chipping away at an enemy's health. Stealth is also an actual factor in Sekiro. Bloodborne is a bridge between the two where combat is faster and more aggressive, but you're rewarded for your aggression by being able to heal yourself by hurting others and you can easily over level yourself with optional dungeons. I could play DS2, DS3, and Bloodborne with you if you play PS4.
